United Airlines has launched a new daily nonstop service between Kansas City International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport, providing travelers with another option to fly without a layover. This new route is United’s seventh nonstop flight between MCI and its other U.S. hub airports. LAX serves as a critical gateway for travelers to access countries in Asia and the Pacific. Other airlines such as Frontier, Delta, Southwest, and Spirit also offer flights to LAX from KCI. Additionally, Southwest Airlines will introduce daily flights from MCI to Boston Logan International Airport starting June 4th, 2026, along with weekend nonstop flights to Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport and Norfolk International Airport. Los Angeles is set to host matches for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Ecuador facing Curaçao in Kansas City on June 16 and Switzerland playing against an opponent to be determined later in Los Angeles on June 18.
