One person had to be hospitalized for a moderate wound from a shooting at a St. Joseph residence Monday afternoon.

St. Joseph police report officers arrived at the house at the intersection of Calhoun and North 23rd Street around 3:30 Monday afternoon. Police say one person suffered a moderate wound to the pelvic area and had to be taken to the hospital.

The shooting was contained within the residence, according to police.

The investigation continues.
