Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco is set to host the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards. Maniscalco, who is also an actor and best-selling author, just sold out a four-show run at Madison Square Garden. He will host the VMAs from Prudential Center in Newark, NJ on Monday, August 26.
This year’s VMAs will pay tribute to music’s biggest stars and fans will celebrate the year’s most iconic videos with electrifying performances, viral moments and a new, first-of-its-kind immersive fan experience.
Maniscalco was named the 2018 Billboard “Comedian of the Year” and was included on Forbes’ 2017 and 2018 list of the world’s highest paid comedians. His “Stay Hungry” tour is now streaming on Netflix.
Maniscalco will also appear in the upcoming movie, “The Irishman,” directed by Martin Scorsese, and starring Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci.
