ANDRW COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 1:30p.m. Tuesday in Andrew County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2022 GMC Yukon driven by a 74-year-old St. Joseph man was north bound on Business 71 thre miles north of St. Joseph. The driver attempted a left turn and traveled into the path of a northbound 2013 Kia Optima driven by a 17-year-old Country Club boy.

A private vehicle transported the 74-year-old driver to Mosaic. The teen was not injured.  Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
