Severe storms hit Northeast Kansas, Northwest Missouri, and Southeast Nebraska on Monday, spawning multiple tornadoes, strong winds, large hail, and heavy rain. There is significant storm damage in Fillmore, Missouri where several city streets and state highways have trees, power poles and power lines down. The Andrew County Sheriff’s Office has deputies working alongside multiple fire departments and first responders to check on residents and help clear and reopen the roadways in Fillmore as soon as possible. Law enforcement advises drivers to use caution if travel is necessary and allow emergency crews room to work safely.
