La Tiara taco shells and seasoning packets have made a triumphant return to local grocery stores in Kansas City after more than a year of absence. The brand’s Gladstone factory closed unexpectedly in January 2025, but General Mills purchased the company for $10 million and announced the shells’ comeback in November 2025. A dedicated Facebook group with over 24,000 members played a significant role in bringing back the beloved taco shells. The shells are now available in yellow and white corn varieties, along with new seasoning flavors like Chorizo and Tinga. Fans can once again enjoy the iconic La Tiara products on store shelves in the Kansas City metro area.
