Kansas hunters may have the opportunity to hunt turkeys in the fall again after a three-year hiatus. The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) will hold public meetings in Wichita and Salina to discuss the potential re-establishment of the fall turkey season and proposed regulations for non-resident waterfowl hunting on public lands. Feedback from hunters and stakeholders will be considered before any regulation changes are approved by the KDWP’s commission. The fall turkey hunting season was discontinued in 2023 to help increase the turkey population, and interested individuals can provide input online if unable to attend the meetings.
