The City of St. Joseph will implement changes to the traffic signals at 22nd and Duncan Streets to alleviate congestion. The signals will flash all red from April 13 to April 16 for the transition, with a left-turn yield on green signals for Duncan traffic. Traffic on 22nd Street will remain unaffected. Once the change is complete, Duncan traffic traveling east and west will receive green lights simultaneously. The adjustments follow a traffic study prompted by low traffic volumes on Duncan outside of school drop-off and pick-up times, with previous signal timing adjustments proving ineffective in improving traffic flow.
