Nebraska State Chamber Foundation, state community colleges, and the Department of Labor have partnered to offer modular, employer-based training for Level 1 Manufacturing Certifications. The program establishes a statewide Nebraska Manufacturing Alliance Credential to verify manufacturing skills and create a consistent industry standard. The credential consists of eight modules covering various manufacturing skills, and students can earn stipends while completing the courses tuition-free. Funding for the $7 million project comes from the state’s Workforce Development Program Cash Fund, and interested students can contact their community college for enrollment.
