Teachers and staff in the St. Joseph School District are finding out where they will be working next year as the district’s reorganization takes shape. Human Resources Director Mark Korell says elementary placements are being announced today, with middle school staff expected to receive their assignments by Thursday. The move follows individual meetings at nine different schools to gauge teacher preferences. Despite the shifts, officials say the district still has plenty of openings and will continue hiring to meet staffing needs for the upcoming school year.
