The State Historical Society of Missouri is celebrating 100 years of Route 66 with a new exhibit called “Through the Windshield: Missouri’s Route 66.” The exhibit showcases the history and culture of Missouri in the 20th century. Located at the State Historical Society’s headquarters in Columbia, the 90-foot-wide display is open to the public during regular visiting hours. Additionally, a smaller mobile exhibit called “Missouri’s Main Street: 100 Years on Route 66” will travel to communities across the state, with organizations able to request a stop in their community.
