The Missouri Department of Transportation and Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office closed Missouri Highway 6 and Mitchell Street, east of Saint Joseph this morning.

The Platte River gauge near Agency cleared 27 feet 6 inches at 9:30 this morning. The Platte joins with the 102 River just north of U.S. 36.

U.S. 36 may be closed at any time. Drivers should check the MoDOT Traveler Information Map early and often.
