The Northwest Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety is offering grants for highway and traffic safety programs to address the 43 roadway deaths that occurred in 2025 in northwest Missouri. With 15 fatalities reported so far this year, organizations such as schools, community groups, law enforcement, and health departments are eligible to apply for grants up to $5,000. Applications are being accepted through June 10th and must focus on at least one of the emphasis areas identified in the Show-Me Zero strategic highway safety plan, including occupant protection, distracted driving, speeding, and impaired driving.
