The City of St. Joseph recently opened eight new pickleball courts at North 22nd Street, expanding the total number of courts to 16. The $796,000 project was funded by the city’s Capital Improvements Program and Parks Sales Tax. The new courts include shade structures, picnic tables, a water fountain with a bottle-filling station, and LED stadium lighting for nighttime play. The opening was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
