Improvements are planned for the City of Horton’s shooting range, with repairs needed for 71 baffles at the facility. The City Commission approved up to $10,000 for materials and labor from the donations fund. Additionally, up to $14,000 was approved for police department computer upgrades, already included in the city’s budget. Several appointments were made, including members to the Planning Commission and Appeals Board. Mayor Bryan Stirton recognized Public Works Superintendent Randy Mayfield for five years of service and approved a one-dollar-per-hour pay increase for Mayfield.
