The Board of Public Works recommended the purchase of a new bucket truck for the city at a cost of $321,436. The decision was made as the city’s largest bucket truck, a 2002 model with a 70-foot reach, is nearing the end of its usefulness and will no longer be supported by the manufacturer. The new truck, with a 60-foot reach, is expected to be delivered around July 2027. In other news, the Council tabled action on bids for municipal waste management and appointed Jeff Palik as the Class A Street Superintendent for the remainder of 2026.
