The St. Joseph School District, in partnership with Schneider Electric and Missouri Western State University, will host an Earth Day event at Hyde Elementary on April 22nd. Fourth-grade students will engage in a hands-on solar bug activity and learn about renewable energy. The district aims to spark early interest in STEM careers among elementary students through interactive activities. Community members can also participate in Earth Day celebrations with a free activity kit available for at-home engagement.
