Construction is underway on a new $5.1 million WoodSpring Suites hotel and conference center in St. Joseph, Missouri. The 90-room hotel is located on South Belt Highway and South 40th Terrace, next to San Jose Steakhouse. The project was approved by the St. Joseph City Council in October and the property was rezoned for commercial development. WoodSpring Suites operates multiple hotels in the region and has over 300 locations across the United States. The new hotel is one of three ongoing hotel projects in St. Joseph, including a $60 million Robidoux Hotel and Conference Center and a $10 million TownePlace Suites hotel.
