WORTH COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 10:30p.m. Suighwaynday in Worth County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Ford F250 driven by a 33-year-old Diagonal, Iowa man was southbound on U.S. 169 at E Farwell Street in Grant City.

The pickup was traveling too fast for conditions of the road. The pickup traveled off the west side of the road and started to slide. The driver overcorrected, the pickup overturned and the driver who was not wearing a seat belt was ejected.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the patrol. The MSHP no longer releases names of accident victims.
