A Red Flag Warning is in effect for the St. Joseph area today, March 12, from 12:00 – 9:00 p.m.

The combination of high wind gusts, low humidity, and dry vegetation has created a high risk for rapid fire spread. To keep the community safe, officials advise the following:

• No Recreational Fires: Please avoid using fire pits, outdoor fireplaces, or any other recreational fires today.
• Open Burning Reminder: Open burning is strictly prohibited within city limits outside of the designated months of April and November.
