House Republicans in Iowa have introduced a new health agenda called “Make America Healthy Again,” which includes new standards for school lunches, limits on digital device access in early elementary grades, and restrictions on food stamps. The bill also proposes physical fitness requirements for students, extracurricular activity participation for high school students, and limits on digital instruction in lower grades. Additionally, the bill includes restrictions on certain food additives in school meals and potential over-the-counter access to ivermectin. The bill does not include proposed tobacco and vaping taxes from Governor Reynolds’ health policy bill.
