ATCHISON COUNTY— A Missouri teen and a Kansas driver avoided injury after an accident that occurred just after 4p.m. Monday in Atchison.

According to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson, a 2023 Ford Explorer driven by Ronald Dorssom, 83, Atchison, was northbound on 6th Street at U.S. 59. The driver stopped at the stop sign. A 2019 Kenworth semi driven by Kyler Noland, 17, Oregon Missouri who had been westbound on U.S.59 and was turning south onto 6th Street struck the SUV.  

The drivers were not injured.
