NODAWAY COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 5p.m. Saturday in Nodaway County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2011 Ford F150 pulling a small trailer and driven by 49-year-old Maryville man was southbound on Icon Road four miles north of Maryville. The pickup crossed the center of the road and the driver overcorrected. The vehicle crossed the center of the road three additional times and eventually traveled off the east side of the road. It struck an embankment, a tree and overturned. The trailer detached and came to rest off the east side of the road.

Nodaway County ambulance transported the driver to Mosaic in Maryville. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the mSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
