DAVIESS COUNTY—A Missouri teen died and two others were injured in an accident just before 9a.m. Wednesday in Daviess County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Honda CRV driven by Jonathan J. Stoor, 18, Gallatin, was northbound on Route BB. The driver failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with U.S. 69 one half mile west of Winston.

As the driver made a right turn onto U.S. 69, a northbound  2008 Chevy Silverado driven by Jason D. Patterson, 44, New Castle, struck the Honda.  Both vehicles traveled off the north side of the east, west portion of U.S. 69 and the Honda overturned and came to rest on its top.

Cameron ambulance transported Stoor and a 17-year-old Gallatin boy, a passenger in the Honda, to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph where Stoor was pronounced deceased. 

Daviess County EMS transported a second passenger in the Honda, a 14-year-old Gallatin boy, to Cameron Regional Medical Center. He was later air-lifted to Children’s Mercy.

Patterson was not injured. All four were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
